Your roleAs a seasoned java developer you will work together with business users and members of the development team to provide quality systems that improve productivity, decrease operational risk, enable the business to expand and make users smile.

We are looking for someone who can:

• implement and deliver high quality software solutions /ponents for the Credit Risk Monitoring platform.
• analyze business requirements, design implementable technical solutions that leverage process and development best practice
• demonstrate superior collaboration skills in working closely with other development, testing and implementation teams to roll-out important regulatory and business improvement programs.
• leverage his/her expertise to mentor and lead developers; review code/designs and ensure adherence to standards.
• play a key role in platform modernization while continuously improving the existing systems.

Your teamYou will be working within Credit Risk Monitoring Stream and in EOD Monitoring Crew, working closely with colleagues in UK, Zurich, Poland and India including DevOps, developers, BA's and Automation Engineers.

Your expertise

• experience of 9+ years working in Backend Development and Microservices using Java Spring Boot, J2EE, REST for implementing projects with high SLA of data availability and data quality. In-depth experience in high volume and high performance, scalable application design experience with Java/J2EE is essential.
• experience of building cloud ready and migrating applications using Azure and understanding of the Azure Native Cloud services, software design and enterprise integration patterns.
• knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle) and UNIX, writing queries, packages, working with joins, partitions, looking at execution plans, and tuning queries.
• experience using DevOps toolsets like GitLab, Jenkins, TDD/BDD tools like PyTest , Cucumber.
• hands-on experience working with build tools like Maven/Gradle.
• experience of working on Kubernetes / OpenShift, Containerization (Docker, Podman or Similar), Cloud Native technologies and frameworks ( Spring Boot).
