- Maintain, repair, adjust, and replace the entire plumbing system, including waste-vent-water piping, valves, and the various fixtures and equipment served by this system.
- Perform visual inspections for the detection of abnormal operation and actively correct deficiencies to ensure system integrity.
- Receive work orders and coordinate work to fit the schedule as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Estimate time and materials required for work orders accurately to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, strictly following all prescribed safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to calls from facility departments requesting immediate assistance for plumbing problems.
- Be available and respond to emergency call-in situations to address critical plumbing issues.
- Cooperate with members of the department and facility on all emergency conditions, ensuring the safety and comfort of internal customers, visitors, and staff.
- Perform preventive maintenance on related equipment as assigned by the Supervisor to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Ensure the availability of necessary stock and tools in order to maintain, repair, or replace malfunctioning equipment efficiently.
- Coordinate with other departmental employees on diversified work projects, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Make daily rounds of the building and related equipment as assigned by the Supervisor, proactively identifying potential issues.
- Stay updated on and adhere to all current safety regulations.
- Attend all scheduled staff training and safety meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
- ITI Certificate in Plumbing or a related field.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications accurately.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to troubleshoot related systems effectively and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks and lift heavy objects when necessary.
