Delivery Manager

Purpose of role

· As a Delivery Manager , you'll turn digital dreams into reality: the strategy, the design, the development, the testing – you'll be responsible for all these to deliver the digital solutions and integration that our clients/customers need.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex digital projects – working with highly skilled multidisciplinary/cross functional teams both on-shore and off-shore – and ensuring our client's expectations are managed and met

Key Accountabilities

· Manage the delivery of Digital engagements, delivering on time, on budget and to a high standard

· Define and manage to a clearly documented process with lifecycle objective milestones, lifecycle architecture milestones, dependencies, risk analysis and risk mitigation plan

· Manage transition of projects into live service and resolution of dependencies and issues

· Lead on-shore, near-shore and off-shore agile teams, consisting of project managers, business analysts, front-end javascript and HTML5 developers, mobility developers, back-end java engineers, and solution architects

· Run multiple parallel projects

· Plan, estimate and document delivery work

· Manage all stakeholders' expectations

· Coordinate third parties such as creative agencies and back-end API providers

· Program / project management

· Ensure the project delivery within contractual obligations and regulatory requirements

· Ensure scope management, change management. Assess/evaluate client requirements against scope of project, manage project plan and schedule

Skills / Knowledge competencies - Must have

· Overall 15+ years of IT experience in design and development of java enterprise applications with proven leadership and team management.

· Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing a software delivery team

· Sound understanding of the digital landscape and a solid understanding of web, mobile infrastructure

· Experience of working in complex software and application development environments (e.g. design, transition, operation)

· Demonstrable track record of successful delivery of large-scale, high profile strategic digital transformation projects alongside solid commercial experience in managing innovation initiatives - Digital and Mobile projects

· Any experience of Multi-platform delivery experience in Transaction Banking

· Proven experience using agile project management methods

· Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity, working with multidisciplinary teams

· Excellent communication and client management skills.

· Must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.

· Open for travel on demand as deemed necessary for the project delivery

· Ability to manage multiple parallel projects/engagements

· Working experience of successfully delivery in a cross functional environment

· High level understanding of Java enterprise application architectures

· Hands on in problem identification and issue resolution

· Should have familiarity with Agile Development, i.e. Scrum, Continuous Integration and Dev Ops concepts (automated deployments, monitoring/alerting etc.)

Skills / Knowledge competencies - Should have

· Should have familiarity with Agile Development, i.e. Scrum, Continuous Integration and Dev Ops concepts (automated deployments, monitoring/alerting etc.)

· Early career experience as a developer/architect on J2EE projects dealing with large scale distributed systems, will be an added advantage
