    Sr. Performance Engineer

    Job Description:

    We are seeking a talented Sr. Performance Engineer with 3-5+ years of experience in optimizing enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance optimization, along with proficiency in various programming languages and testing frameworks. As a Sr. Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing the performance of our application across all layers, from UI to Database.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and monitor release performance trends, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Diagnose and address root causes of performance issues while preserving functionality.
    • Define and enforce best practices for writing performant code across all layers.
    • Collaborate with the Performance testing team to ensure testing environments mirror production.
    • Benchmark load on Performance testing environments based on data gathered from production.
    • Test and optimize high-volume web and batch-based transactional enterprise applications.
    • Collaborate with developers, architects, and other teams across multiple departments and technologies.
    • Ensure non-functional performance requirements are met, including CPU Usage and Latency.
    • Monitor server and database performance , identifying bottlenecks and engaging with Architects/DBAs for optimization.
    • Analyze performance issues from browser to server level using available monitoring tools.
    • Prepare and communicate test reports to various stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with business, development, and architecture teams to facilitate smooth releases.

    Qualifications:

    • 3-5+ years of experience as a Performance Engineer.
    • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, UI Automation, and API Automation
    • Experience with Java and/or Python is a plus.
    • Strong familiarity with testing frameworks and tools such as Web Driver I/O, Selenium, Appium, etc.
    • Hands-on experience with Postman.
    • Hands-on experience with Mocha, Chai, Jest, Puppeteer, or Cypress is a plus.
    • Knowledge of JMeter DSL (or) preferred.
    • Experience with Containers, Cloud, Virtualization, and Configuration Management.
    • Experience with Bigquery and MongodB
    • Ability to interpret and explain Performance test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Sound knowledge of performance counters and monitoring techniques.
    • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
