PositionOverview:

TheCisco Enterprise Network Architect/Engineer is responsible fordesigning implementing and maintaining the network infrastructureof an organization using Cisco technologies. This role focuses onbuilding and supporting scalable and secure enterprise networks tomeet business needs. The Cisco Enterprise Network Engineercollaborates with crossfunctional teams including networkarchitects system administrators and security professionals toensure the effective delivery of networkservices.

KeyResponsibilities:

1.Network Design andImplementation:

Design plan andimplement Ciscobased network solutions for the organization andclients adhering to industry bestpractices.

Evaluatebusiness requirements and translate them into technicalspecifications for networkinfrastructure.

Configure anddeploy Cisco routers switches firewalls wireless controllers andother networkingdevices.

Conduct networkcapacity planning and performance tuning to optimize networkperformance.

2.Network Troubleshooting andSupport:

Monitor andmaintain network infrastructure ensuring high availabilityreliability andsecurity.

Diagnose andresolve networkrelated issues both proactively and reactively tominimize downtime anddisruptions.

Collaborate withsupport teams and vendors to troubleshoot complex networkproblems.

Conduct rootcause analysis and implement corrective actions to preventrecurrence of networkissues.

3.Network Security andCompliance:

Implement andenforce network security measures including access controlsfirewalls VPNs and intrusion detectionsystems.

Conduct regularsecurity assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities andrecommend mitigationstrategies.

Ensurecompliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements(e.g. PCI DSS GDPR) related to networkinfrastructure.

4.Documentation andReporting:

Maintainaccurate network documentation including network diagramsconfigurations and standard operatingprocedures.

Create reportsand provide insights on network performance utilization andtrends.

Document networkchanges and updates following change managementprocesses.

5.Collaboration andTeamwork:

Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams including network architects systemadministrators and security professionals to ensure integrated andsecure networkservices.

Participate inproject teams providing technical expertise and guidance onnetworkrelatedinitiatives.

Mentor andprovide technical support to junior networkengineers.

Lead team andwork with Executive Leadership to grow the networkpractice.

Requirements

QualificationsandSkills:

Bachelors degreein Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (orequivalentexperience).

Ciscocertifications CCIE stronglypreferred.

Solidunderstanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IPVLANs OSPF BGP MPLS VPN andQoS.

Extensiveexperience in designing implementing and supporting Ciscobasednetworkinfrastructure.

Proficiency inconfiguring and troubleshooting Cisco routers switches firewallsand wirelesscontrollers.

Strong knowledgeof network security principles and bestpractices.
