  • Project management of 2 to 5 VAVE/Cost out projects from IPS by interacting with different divisions and cross functional global teams.
  • Deliver excellent project results supported by 90% Gate Exit OTD, 100% Gate Exit Process checklist adherence, and zero deliverable exceptions at Stage Gate Exit.
  • Develop into an VAVE Process SME (power user) to aid in coaching your project team and share best practices with fellow Project Leaders within the India COE.
  • Leverage a Continuous Improvement mindset in daily work to recommend incremental VAVE process/tool improvements while completing monthly/quarterly PMO Roadmap CI's.
  • Person to be flexible to work with good overlap with global time zones.
  • Accountable for projects success and budgets while being the single point of contact within the business for the project.
  • Learn, practice and coach the application of the CFI (Customer Focused Innovation) Process to prepare detailed project plans, facilitate Gate Exits and communicate project status.
  • An expert of indirect people management that provides a vision of success that motivates the team while collaborating across all departments to influence the supporting functions to achieve common goals.
  • Challenges traditional methods of thinking to ensure the project value is real, sustainable and creates a long-term benefit for our customers and our company.
  • Lead problem solving (5 Whys, 8D, fishbone) and counter measure development.
  • Controls project work to align with the approved project scope. Ensures scope change policies are enforced.
  • Designs and deploys Visual Management to track project status and key metrics. Utilizes multiple levels of planning and management tools to reinforce accountability and clarify individual ownership.
  • Ability to independently manage projects with the discipline to consistently focus on top priorities.
  • Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • 8+ years' experience in leading VAVE/NPD projects in Industrial products.
  • PMP Certification with Project Management Institute (PMI), preferred.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, SCM, Marketing and Product management during the project
  • Initiation of the project including market analysis, customer VOC, creation of customer requirements, marketing requirements document, feasibility analysis, and the business case, preferred.
  • Ability to apply financial and business acumen to daily decisions.
  • Experience with schedule tool MS Project (and others), proficient with the MS Office package.
  • Experience with APQP, Design for Lean Six Sigma, waterfall and/or agile project management.
