Description

The Power BI developer position is a critical role in our BI department.

The candidate will be responsible for transforming data into valuable insights through the utilization of tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Azure Data Lake Analytics.

This person must have extensive experience as Microsoft Power BI Developer, solid understanding of data analysis and be able to communicate findings to various stakeholders across the organization.

Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BIExtracting and analyzing data from various sourcesCollaborating with stakeholders to identify key business questions and provide data-driven solutionsCreating data models and visualizations that tell meaningful storiesTracking KPIs and producing performance reports

What You Have

Should have 5 to 8 years of relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI MobileProficiency in creating complex data models using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)Ability to design and develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboardsStrong understanding of data modelling principlesExperience in designing and implementing star schema and snowflake schema data modelsKnowledge of data normalization and denormalization techniquesSkill in integrating data from various sources, including databases, APIs, Excel, and other data formatsFamiliarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and toolsProficiency in writing complex DAX formulas for calculations, aggregations, and custom measuresExperience with time intelligence functions in DAXAbility to transform and clean data using Power QueryKnowledge of M language for advanced data transformationsStrong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data in relational databasesDesign and development of visually compelling and effective reports and dashboardsKnowledge of best practices for data visualizationAbility to optimize Power BI reports for performance, including minimizing data refresh times and improving report responsivenessUnderstanding of Power BI security features and implementation of role-based securityKnowledge of row-level security (RLS) in Power BIExperience in automating routine tasks using Power BI PowerShell and other scripting languagesIntegration with other Microsoft products and services, such as Azure services, Excel, SharePoint, etcFamiliarity with version control systems for managing Power BI assetsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to data, reports, and dashboardsAbility to create comprehensive documentation for data models, reports, and dashboardsExcellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and gather requirementsCollaboration with business analysts, data engineers, and other team membersWillingness and ability to stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practicesB2 level of English language proficiency
