Brief Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Content Writer to join our Learning and Development team. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering with experience in creating technical content, preferably with a few research publications. The Technical Content Writer will play a crucial role in developing instructional materials, technical documentation, and training resources for our employees, customers, and partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Content Development:
Research, write, and edit technical content for a variety of audiences, including engineers, technicians, and end-users.
Develop instructional materials such as user manuals, product guides, and technical specifications.
Create engaging content for training materials, online courses, and e-learning modules.
2. Subject Matter Expertise:
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to understand technical concepts and product specifications.
Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible content.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to hoses and hose reels.
3. Content Management:
Organize and maintain a library of technical documents, manuals, and resources.
-Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards in all written materials.
Implement version control and document management processes to track revisions and updates.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to create content for marketing collateral, product brochures, and sales presentations.
Support the Training and Development team in designing and delivering technical training programs for employees and partners.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
5.Continuous Improvement:
Seek feedback from stakeholders and incorporate revisions to improve the effectiveness of technical content.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve content development workflows, and enhance the overall quality of documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Technical Writer or Content Developer, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in using content authoring tools, document management systems, and publishing platforms.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
