    Job Description for Business Analyst

    Role Summary: Business Analyst will work with Bank's business users & operations team to

    help translate business requirements to functional specifications. This

    functional specification would be used by the Intellect's Product

    implementation team to deliver code deliverables to Intellect's largest

    customer in Canada. The Experience, Responsibility and Required Skills are:

    Experience: 8- 19 years of experience with at least 7 years as business analyst in

    an IT organization/bank OR 5+ years' experience in core banking and

    digital banking operations user in a tier-1 bank

    Responsibilities: » Review and understanding the business requirements from Banks

    Business & Operations users and covert these into functional specification

    document

    » Support for the finalization of non-functional requirements and interface

    requirements

    » End-to-end Solution delivery

    » Provide support during various phases of testing – both Intellect & Bank's

    » Demonstrate the product to bank business users and internal teams.

    » Liaise with quality assurance team for test planning, test data

    identification and test scenario and cases review

    » Provide functional downloads to internal Dev, Testing & QA teams ahead

    of design, development and Testing phases

    » Provide Bank's business & operations with Product training

    » Responsible for post production defect triage and query resolution

    » Create product presentation decks for sales and marketing teams

    » Keep senior leadership abreast of strategies, deliverables, risks and issues

    as they arise

    Required Skills: » Experience on processing, clearing and settlement of domestic/

    international wires, electronic funds transfers, direct debits

    » In-depth end-to-end processing knowledge of at least 2 of the following

    areas

    1) Cheque & Cash Collections

    2) Electronic Collections

    3) Deposits

    4) Core banking

    5) (sweeps, pooling) (Preferred)

    6) Channel banking (internet, mobile, API, Host-to-Host) (Must have)

    » Gathering functional requirements including preparation of functional

    specification documents (FSD/FRD), user stories and requirement

    traceability

    » Change / defect management experience which includes root-cause

    analysis, proposed solution and related documentation

    » Excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills.

    » Substantial client interaction and direct participation in client requirement

    gathering, elicitation and functional solution design.

    » Ability to engage with various internal/external stake holders such as IT

    business analysts, product managers, operations and testing.

    » Proficient in creation of flowcharts/UML diagrams
