- Provide technical assistance in conceptualizing, planning, and coordinating activities related to emergencies affecting cultural heritage in the region, as well as activities promoting the implementation of the 2015 UNESCO Recommendation on the Protection and Promotion of Museums and their Diversity and Role in Society.
- Contribute to the conceptualization, planning, and implementation of activities in the field of World Heritage, particularly those involving local communities within the framework of World Heritage and Sustainable Tourism.
- Assist the Culture Sector in coordinating various activities in the cluster countries, in particular, under the framework of the Korean Funds-in-Trust project World Heritage, Sustainable Development, and the local community to be implemented until December 2024.
- Provide technical inputs into the conceptualization, design, and implementation of programme and project activities in line with the strategies and priorities of the Culture Sector.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the Director of the Office as well as the Chief of the Culture Sector.
- Minimum 3 (three) years' relevant professional experience in the field of culture or related field, of which preferably one (1) year acquired in an international environment.
- Work experience in project management and coordination.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to draft clearly and concisely and sensitivity to the local context

OVERVIEW
The UNESCO Regional Office in New Delhi covers Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. The incumbent shall contribute to the design, implementation, development, and coordination of activities carried out under Major Programe IV - Culture in the South Asia region in close collaboration with the Member States, local communities, and other stakeholders and close cooperation and coordination with the relevant Entities of the Culture Sector at Headquarters.
This also includes coordinating with the United Nations Country Teams (UNCTs) of the cluster countries, ensuring alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and contributing to the overall strategic objectives of UNESCO's Culture Program (42 C/5).
