    Position Available: Assistant Learning Facilitator

    Mention Focus Area: English, Math, Science, Hindi, Social Studies, Computer Science

    Full-Time, Primary, and Middle School

    Location(: Bangalore (Kannuru, Hennur-Bagalur Road, North Bangalore)

    Training and Probation Period: 1 year

    Working Days: Monday-Friday 8.00 am-5.30 pm and alternate Sat are working

    Brief about our novel approach to subjects:

    At Sparkling Mindz, children find meaning and purpose in their learning experiences, and to enable that we have transformed the subjects into learning areas where each learning area carries with it the purpose and the application of learning it too. For example, English/Hindi is learned as LAC (Language Arts and Communication – English/Hindi/Kannada/Spanish/Chinese, etc), Math as MPD (Math Problem Solving and Design), Science as SIE (Scientific Inquiry and Experimentation), Social Studies as CWE (Citizenship, World and Entrepreneurship) and Computer Science as DLI (Digital Literacy and Innovation). There is an intense focus on Creative Movement, Art and Design (CMAD) as giving meaning and shape to their day-to-day experiences and not merely as extra-curricular activities.

    Each of the learning areas is further combined under Changemaker Missions and offered as connected learning projects and outputs connected to BIG real-life problems as part of Purpose-Driven Learning.

    Job Description:

    • Support the planning of the learning outcomes, lesson plans, worksheets & resources
    • Support the execution of learning in classes, evaluate children's work, and submit updates and reports
    • Record and document children's observations and class updates daily
    • Collaborate with the entire team to understand the delivery of learning outcomes in a creative, connected manner
    • Interact with peers to cross-apply learnings in different areas and co-teach classes based on peer discussions and mentor feedback
    • Support the iteration of lesson plans, delivery of games, etc. to improve the learning process
    • Attend regular team meetings/training sessions on weekdays/weekends
    • Bring new methods and inspiring ways to deliver classes for peer discussions

    Qualifications and Qualities Required

    • Graduation/Post Graduation from any recognized University (Previous experience or B.Ed is a plus ONLY if you can showcase value)
    • Demonstrate extensive and deep knowledge of the learning area applied for
    • Demonstrate an empathetic and creative approach towards teaching and learning
    • Excellent communication and listening skills
    • Any previous training or counseling experience or a psychology background is a plus (need to be open to working with groups and not one-on-one counseling)
    • Demonstrable skills in creative writing, public speaking, or other hobbies are a plus
    • Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and an overall fluency with technology is a must
