    investment, business management, and consulting services to individuals, partnerships, companies, non-profit organizations, and other business entities primarily in the US. Our joint servicing teams working out of the US and India ensure that Clients have the best financial, tax, and accounting support.

    Sales Tax Compliance:

    Prepare timely and accurate indirect tax returns including sales and use tax returns, business license tax returns, and similar tax returns for assigned businesses including the preparation of check requests/EFTs and associated information/documentation for journal entries.

    Prepare account reconciliations as needed and required, maintaining accurate record keeping of the filed tax returns and supporting documentation.

    Update the company's tax calendar databases for filed tax returns. Identify tax savings, process improvements, etc.

    Coordinate and resolve indirect tax return issues with various taxing authorities, including correcting internal processes.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Sales Tax Analysis Audit Planning

    Support all aspects of the sales, use, and excise tax audit process from notification through completion.

    Support consulting firms assisting with reverse audits, registrations, and research.

    Regularly communicate with the Manager, Sales Tax Audit, and Planning regarding projects and tasks.

    Maintain knowledge of sales and excise tax law. Contribute to tax minimization efforts by identifying over payments, filing refund claims, and updating systems to ensure over payments are minimized.

    Identify and assist with the implementation of process enhancements to correct issues stemming from audits or other diligence.

    Provide subject matter expertise as part of corporate and tax initiatives impacting sales, use, and excise taxes.

    Support sales tax registration analysis including voluntary disclosure agreements as applicable.

    Sales & Property Tax Accounting

    Prepares tax compliance for all corporate entities, including but not limited to, preparing necessary calculations to achieve tax compliance, organizing and developing efficiencies in the tax return preparation process, and identifying possible opportunities and exposure areas.

    Conducts tax research.

    Coordinates maintenance of sales tax preparation software. Prepares and/or reviews responses to Document Requests, notices, audits, and other requests for information from various tax authorities as directed by management.

    Additional Requirements and Skill Set:

    Should have a minimum of 6 years to 9 years of relevant experience in US Sales and Use Tax Returns and preparation.

    Successfully drive and meet deadlines and manipulate large data

    Knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax concepts. Knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax return preparation requirements is preferred.

    Excellent organizational skills for handling large volumes of work with attention to detail.

    General computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, etc.)

    Strong communication, customer service management, and presentation skills

    Must be able to demonstrate multi-tasking capacity

    Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    Positive attitude with a desire to build strong relationships with clients and peers

    Must be highly organized in document management with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
