Job Title: Market Risk Analyst

Location: Gurugram, India

Working Days: Monday-Friday

Working Hours: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Salary: Up to 10 LPA

Job Summary:

We're seeking a Market Risk Analyst to support the expansion of our commodity trading organization and Risk team. This role focuses on developing risk models to assess and monitor market and credit risks as we integrate new businesses into our portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Understand transaction flows and business requirements from stakeholders.
• Develop logic for creating datasets and risk models to measure credit and market risks.
• Collaborate with Information Systems department to develop Risk applications.
• Create methodologies for validating and monitoring existing risk models.
• Aid Risk Analysts in managing credit and market risk exposures.
• Provide recommendations on credit, market, and operational risk management to the Risk Manager.

The ideal candidate is someone looking to grow in risk management with experience in commodities and financial derivatives. They should be eager to enhance analytical skills and gain experience in software development in tandem with the Information Systems team. This role involves close collaboration with various teams including Risk Manager, trading desks, operations, and finance departments, offering ample opportunity for career growth and value creation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Commerce or MBA with a finance concentration.
• Computer Science degree preferred, or relevant work experience in software development.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Risk management.
• Experience in measuring and managing commodities exposures is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.
• Proficiency in Python is advantageous.
• Understanding of SQL queries, databases, and programming concepts is essential.
• Strong data analysis and synthesis skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects concurrently.
• Open-minded, coachable, resourceful, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
