- Develop and implement SAM processes, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and optimize software usage across the organization.
- Lead and oversee the software asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, utilization tracking, maintenance, and retirement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, procurement, finance, and legal departments to gather requirements, define strategies, and address issues related to software licensing and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for optimization in software asset management practices.
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses, entitlements, contracts, and usage data in the ITAM system or software asset management tools.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on software procurement decisions, license compliance, and vendor management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in software asset management to continuously improve processes and drive efficiencies.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field. Master's degree is optional.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT asset management, with exposure to software asset management practices.
- Familiarity with software licensing concepts, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
- Working knowledge of ITAM tools or software asset management platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
