    Description
    This position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of material management, raw material procurement, production planning, and related analysis. This role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials through the production process, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and contributing to overall operational efficiency. This position involves strategic planning, coordination, and optimization of material resources to meet production demands while minimizing costs.

    Principal accountabilities -

    Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement efficient inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
  • Optimize inventory turnover rates and minimize excess or obsolete stock.
  • Raw Material Procurement :

  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to secure a resilient supply chain.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address issues, resolve disputes for continuously improvement
  • Production Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive production plans aligned with sales forecasts, ensuring on-time delivery of finished goods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess production capacity, resource availability, and production constraints.
  • Implement strategies to optimize production schedules, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data-driven insights to conduct regular analysis of inventory trends, supplier performance, and production efficiency.
  • Generate relevant reports to communicate key metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance overall performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster effective communication channels with internal teams, including procurement, production, sales, and finance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand demand forecasts, production requirement, and market trends.
  • Work closely with the finance team to manage budgetary constraints and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Permissions

  • Refraining from performing work and/or stopping the production process in case of a threat to human life or health and informing the appropriate person (superior, person responsible for the production process immediately.
  • In case of defective product or errors in the production process, immediate proceeding with the nonconforming product supervision procedure.
  • Submitting proposals for process improvement and any suggestions affecting safety, process and product development and improvement of work ergonomics.
  • Managing all aspects (e.g. working hours, overtime, holidays, business trips, tasks) regarding working time of the subordinate team.
  • Basic obligations

  • Performing activities required by relevant records from applicable procedures and instructions of JM Management Systems, internal company regulations and legal regulations.
  • Compliance with the requirements of the IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
  • Taking all measures to improve the quality of products, services and customer service.
  • Caring for order and cleanliness in the workplace, waste segregation and responding to chemical spills in the workplace
  • Participation in trainings and meetings aimed at improving employee qualifications and skills
  • Immediate notification of employee line supervisor in the event of any suspected or non-compliant product. Execution of supervisor's instructions
  • QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE -

  • Master's in business administration /Bachelor's degree in any discipline - Essential
  • Having > 10-12years' experience in SCM in Automotive/Manufacturing/EOU/3PL - Essential
  • Deep expertise in Material/Inventory & Production Planning roles and execution, with end-to-end supply chain (e.g., scheduling, planning, procurement, warehousing, fulfillment, reverse logistics) - Essential
  • Any Supply chain specialization course
  • SAP uses (MM/PP/SD)
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office, FEMA, PPAP and APQP & Six Sigma/Lean etc.
  • PERSONAL SKILLS & KEY COMPETENCIES -

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Proactive approach to developing and enhancing systems and processes
  • Influencing skills imperative to inspire and motivate team when managing change, influence behavior and driving deployment across the Plant
  • Ability to deal with high levels of complexity, change and evolving processes
