Position: Senior Executive-Cricket Data Collection

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to lead our cricket data collection efforts. As a Sr Executive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, depth and timeliness of our cricket-related data. Your expertise will contribute to the enhancement of our cricket database and analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the cricket data collection team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to junior data collectors.
• Be responsible to capture advanced level data for each ball that is bowled.
• Drive the collection of cricket match data, including scores, player statistics, match events, and historical records.
• Attend live cricket matches/watch live streams, analyze game dynamics, and capture real-time data accurately.
• Collaborate with external data providers and leagues to source additional cricket data.
• Implement quality control measures to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct regular audits of the cricket database to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• Stay informed about cricket rules, player transfers, and match schedules.
• Collaborate with data analysts to identify trends and insights from collected data.
• Assist in developing and improving data collection processes and tools.
• Provide regular reports to management on data collection progress, challenges, and opportunities.
• Open to work in shifts based on the match schedule.
• Working from our Mumbai office is mandatory.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of cricket, including rules, player profiles, and historical context.
• Proven experience in sports data collection, preferably in cricket.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data entry tools and software.
• Leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel and attend live cricket matches (including evenings and weekends).
• Open to work in shifts based on the match schedule including night games and games on weekends.
• A Bachelor's degree in any field is good to have and a certification in Cricket scoring or analytics is an added advantage.
