Role: DevSecOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement scalable and reliable application architectures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and production systems.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Automate security controls and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Monitor security events and alerts, investigate potential security incidents, and respond to security breaches in a timely manner.
• Familiar with agile methodologies and projects.
• Research, document, note trade-offs and recommend potential solutions around product features. Assume responsibility for your work and lead it to completion.
• Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Design and implementation of database solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Good hands-on experience with major AWS services like EC2, Document DB, RDS, VPC, ALB, EKS, S3 and general understanding of networking.
• Experience with monitoring solutions such as Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Loki and Grafana.
• Extensive and proven experience in IAC tools like Pulumi and terraform.
• Proficiency in Docker for containerization and Kubernetes (k8s) for container orchestration.
• Familiar with container deployments in Kubernetes environments using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of DevOps for Service-Oriented and Microservice Architectures.
• Knowledge of security tools and practices, including vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and encryption techniques.
• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR.
• Ability to multi-task under time-sensitive environments and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and analytical skill.
