Job Title: Cassandra Database Admin

Location: India - Remote

Hire: Fulltime

We are seeking a skilled Cassandra Database Admin to join our team. As a key member of our data infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, developing and managing data on Cassandra clusters.

Responsibilities:

• Data Management: Design, develop and manage data on Cassandra cluster.
• Performance Tuning: End-to-end performance tuning of Cassandra clusters.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Installation and configuration in AWS Cloud.
• Software Updates: Software patches and upgrades.
• Capacity Planning: Capacity planning.
• Database Migration: Migration from Oracle.
• Cassandra Security: Cassandra connectivity and Security in AWS.
• Monitoring: Monitoring.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting.
• Data Modeling: Data Modeling, design & implementation.
• Team Leadership: Establishing and driving standards within the team.
• Training: Conducting Cassandra training.
• Mentorship: Providing guidance to less experienced DBAs and the Dev team.

Requirements:

• Cassandra Experience: Cassandra data modeling, hands on experience, with 2-3 live projects.
• Cloud Computing: Cassandra capacity planning, installation and deployment in AWS. Oracle data modeling and administration.
• NoSQL Experience: Dynamo DB experience is a plus.
• DBA Experience: Must have 5+ years of DBA experience
• NoSQL DBA Experience: Must have 2+ years of NoSQL DBA experience
