    Job PurposeThe Art Director will be responsible for leading the campaign strategy, art direction, and day-today-administration functions for the creative team.

    The creative team includes of a mix of designers, visualizers, brand guardians, art directors, copy writers, copy leads, offline video editors, AFX & VFX artists & a postproduction leads, all of whom will report to the Art Director either directly or indirectly.

    The Art Director will be supported in this function by a studio manager who will monitor day-to-day deliveries. Final accountability for all deliveries by the team, however, lies with the Art Director.

    Art Director approach to communication and design must be medium agnostic, as the teams' deliveries range from simple concept notes, to print, digital & video collateral, for brands as well as internal consumption within the company.

    Job QualificationDegree in Art, Design, Advertising or related field preferred.13+ years of experience in Creative in Advertising and/or MarketingMust have head a team of at least 10Job RelationshipsReports to Head of Operations – IndiaShould be willing to travel on business trips.

    BackgroundShould have all relevant software skills, including Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Maya, FCP, Marketo, MS Office and others. Knowledge of digital & social platforms is also expected.
    Should have excellent knowledge of Digital Printing Artwork processes, its limitations and needs within the design process.
    Familiarity with film-making techniques/ video/animation/broadcast streams is particularly useful. Video editing, copywriting and HTML skills are usually needed.


    Job ResponsibilitiesBe an integral part of the pitching, planning and related thinking processes, to develop concepts for advertising or promotional campaignsAble to work with Project management desk to derive pricing and rate cards for prospective clientsConfident to present range of solutions to client even if it does not require high creative inputsIntroduce ideas/ new initiatives in the world of art, design, media, communication, and creative technology to the team.

    Ability to deliver constructive feedback on projects to the teamEnsure consistency in design across all the online and offline marketing channelsStrong conceptual skills in layout and designAbility to breakdown creative briefs and meet the constraints of cost, time, and clientWork with clients to develop and refine creative briefs that will meet clients' objectives, when necessaryWork with onsite teams to answer client queries and to advise the client on the best solutions to their brand communication needsNegotiate with clients to amend ideas in line with their wishes and explain what is and is not possibleKeep clients abreast of progress and answer their questions.


    Communication and presentation skills:

    Excellent communication (written and verbal) and confident presentation skills to pitch ideas to clients or directors and explain their ideas to members of their creative team.

    Adhere to workflow processes and best practices in all day-to-day activities. Ensure the same for the extended team as well.
    Ensure a high level of quality output, minimize job cycle rework, and find solutions to minimize errorsInspire the team and instill confidence to boost the team's motivation levelHire, develop, and manage the creative teamOversee photo or TV shootsSelect external suppliers/vendors when necessarySign off projects/deliveries before they are presented to the client
