About the Role:

Hey Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Investment Analyst to support our Lower Middle Market Private Equity firm's financial modeling, analysis, and reporting for potential acquisitions and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, incorporating DCF, LBO, and other valuation methodologies.
• Analyze financial statements, historical performance, and operational metrics to assess profitability and growth potential.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to inform decision-making.

Deal Execution Support:

• Collaborate with partners on due diligence processes, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial reviews.
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with legal, accounting, and advisory teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.

Portfolio Management:

• Monitor and report on the performance of portfolio companies, focusing on financial performance and key operational metrics.
• Support the development of growth strategies and operational improvements for portfolio companies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for portfolio companies.

Market and Industry Research:

• Conduct research on the marketing agency sector, exploring trends, competitive landscape, and potential targets.
• Identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities aligned with the firm's investment strategy.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Work closely with partners to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards to update stakeholders on investment performance and market trends.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, CFA) are advantageous.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory services, or a related field.
• Prior exposure to M&A, financial modeling, and the marketing agency sector is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and PowerPoint for presentations.
• Familiarity with financial databases and CRM systems is beneficial.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
