    About the Position:

    The DevOps Engineer role is critical to the success of Property & Casualty (P&C) Solutions Technology team. This role will support and build the CI/CD pipelines for all solutions across P&C Solutions Technology Microsoft Azure and AWS landscape.

    Primary Responsibilities

  • Implement, support and maintain DevOps stacks for multiple P&C Solutions projects
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain cost effective Microsoft Azure solutions
  • Expert knowledge of Terraform to maintain a full compliance to Swiss Re Security, Quality, Scalability, Resiliency, and Regulatory Standards
  • Create technical support documentation, reusable assets, and guidance for Product Teams to enable their journey in DevOps
  • Participate in experimentation and innovation to drive persistent improvement, with the reduction in technical debt and risk as a core Principal engineering within P&C Solutions
  • Provide technical direction for DevOps across solution groups and third parties, fostering and maintaining close links with those areas.
  • Key Success Criteria

  • Developing trust-based relationships with senior P&C Solutions technology leaders and other team members / leaders across Reinsurance
  • Assessing and managing risks and issues with mitigations as needed
  • Ensuring business outcomes are achieved

  • About You:

  • Experience of version control and code branching strategies
  • Experience of at CI-CD Pipeline implementation and at least one tool (Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, TeamCity
  • Experience in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python
  • Experience in at least one configuration management tool (Puppet, Ansible, Chef
  • Experience in virtualization and containerization.
  • Experience in setting up Security scans and Quality checks.
  • Azure DevOps certification (DevOps Engineer Expert) is good to have.
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science
  • Proven ability to work in a problem-solving environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
