Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough testing procedures. You will work closely with our development team to understand project requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and report defects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, excellent analytical skills, and a strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and specifications.
● Design comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and user stories.
● Execute test cases manually to identify software defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
● Perform functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing as needed.
● Document and prioritize defects discovered during testing and work with developers to resolve them.
● Should test Native Android and iOS apps, PHP & Angular based web applications, backend APIs using tools like postman.
● Should be versed in basic SQL database and server-side logging. Knowledge of Google Cloud is plus.
● Should have general knowledge of Android & iOS App's best practices for UX and W3C for quality assurance.
● Good to have knowledge of OWASP, InfoSec, and other related standards.
● Should be able to debug the issues in production.
● Participate in the review of software design documentation to ensure testability and identify potential issues early in the development process.
● Provide feedback to improve product quality and usability.
● Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in software testing and quality assurance.
● Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.
● Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure clarity and transparency throughout the testing process.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
● Proven experience as a Manual Tester or in a similar role.
● Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
● Experience designing test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
● Familiarity with test management tools and bug tracking systems.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
