    This role reports to the Senior Lawyer and is to assist with a number and variety of Real Estate centric legal work, in particular, wayleaves.

    Key accountabilities

  • Supports Colt's legal team in all aspects of delivering effective legal support
  • Mainly focused on European based legal matters, with a minority contingent of Indian legal matters
  • Provides hands-on commercial and legal support and advice
  • Drafts, reviews and negotiates a variety of contracts
  • Provides contract-management
  • Assesses disputes and evaluates Colt's legal position
  • Contributes to the updating of a suite of standard templates
  • Provides ad-hoc legal support and advice on a range of matters as required
  • Delivers services in accordance with the relevant internal Operating Level Agreements

    Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)

  • Acts as subject-matter expert in commercial legal matters across the organisation
  • Engages effectively with internal clients and provides support on legal matters as required
  • Provides sound commercial legal advice on a range of matters, including
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and legal agreements, including wayleave agreements, telecoms carrier agreements, duct use/lease agreements, non-disclosure agreements, procurement agreements;
  • Disputes with customers, suppliers and other parties
  • Contract Summaries, Press Releases etc.,
  • Provides contract management for on going contractual relationships
  • Supports the legal team in updating and maintaining of frameworks and standards, including standard customer documentation
  • Manages workload and prioritizes effectively
  • Sets clear and achievable expectations with internal customers
  • Proactively follows up on actions and deliverables
  • Delivers project completion in a timely and efficient manner
