    Role Summary

    Reporting to and working in close partnership with the Senior Manager, Global Mobility Advisory, this role will be responsible for managing a personal portfolio of assignments within AtkinsRéalis. The incumbent will be based in Bangalore, India and will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Global Mobility function, the broader HR function, Expatriate Taxation and the business. The incumbent will become knowledgeable about the business to ensure mobility advice and support is aligned to business strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a multifaceted and changing environment.

    AtkinsRéalis support cross border talent assignments globally through a comprehensive suite of mobility policies to meet the needs of varying assignment types and durations. The Global Mobility function is comprised of teams based predominantly in Montreal, Canada and Bangalore, India.

    Role Accountabilities

    Manage international assignments through the assignment lifecycle. Advisor will be key contact point for assignee and the business, through the full assignment lifecycle (assignment start, extension, repatriation). Provide Global Mobility guidance to the HR and business community around policy, process, budgeting and timelines.

    • Engage and liaise with external service providers as needed.
    • Work closely with GM operations to ensure smooth updates of HR systems and Payroll.
    • Advise on policy and best practice with regards to global mobility issues to business leaders, managers, regional / Country / Business HR, and employees, and ensure regular communication through presentations, guidance materials, intranet communications etc.
    • Manage social security implications of international assignments, ensuring certificates of coverage are obtained where necessary, and/or voluntary contributions are upheld.
    • Ensure compliance with immigration legislation, maintain policies on illegal working; apply for visas and work permits and track expiry dates; provide practical, commercial advice to the business.
    • Work as part of broader HR team to deliver annual compensation processes such as salary review, bonus.
    • Work closely with global network of International Assignment Consultants.

    The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of international assignments, global mobility, and expatriate management issues. Applicants will have comprehensive knowledge of Global Mobility policy and process understanding of tax and social security matters and the foresight to consider assignment cost saving initiatives. Applicants needs to be open to support specific project support and flexible to collaborate across time-zones, especially the North America region.
