Job Description Summary
Manager - Lean Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for implementing Lean processes for CoE thru,
Roles & Responsibilities
• Establishment of Lean model lines for Aviation Products - Tubing, Manifolds, Press Shop, Brackets.
• Capacity planning, Line balancing, Time Study, Cycle time analysis for New & Existing Product to
Improve Productivity and Cost Reduction
• Plan the Design of facilities including layout of cell machines and equipment, material handling
system, raw materials and finished goods storage facilities to increase productivity.
• New Product Process Validation, process quality improvement, feasibility studies & Setting time
standards for Manufacturability and process optimization.
• Cellular set up according to various considerations including tool accessibility, ergonomics, and
compliance requirement of safety standards
• This role will be responsible for schedule, budget and scope of projects · Manage internal and external resources to achieve project goals ·
• Assure safety standards are communicated and met Identify requirements, timing, and lead the
project team.
• Monitor project progress and provide routine budget and schedule updates to management
• Work closely with Operations, Lean, manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing & Engineering team during
conceptualization/implementation of new solutions.
• Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for driving
improvements & execution on shop.
• Collaborates flawlessly with multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
• Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills
required to influence others on topics within field.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Production Engineering or
Equivalent from a reputed college /university with any Post-Graduation studies / Certifications in
LEAN, SIX-SIGMA, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
• Minimum of 8-15 years' hands on experience in Aerospace, Defense & Space or Precision Equipment's
industry with metal forming, metal joining operations Model Line establishment using Len Tools,
Custom Solutions, etc.
• Hands on Experience in deployment concepts & tools like VSM, SMED, Kanban, TOC, JIT, Poka Yoke
etc and implementation for Fabrication industry (Welding, Assembly, Material handling)
