    Job Description:

    As a Combat Content Editor at EssentiallySports, you will be responsible for editing and publishing high-quality articles daily, ensuring our standards of accuracy and research remain uncompromised.

    • Edit and publish 18-20 articles each day, maintaining our exceptional quality standard.
    • Fact-check, well-researched content to deliver value to our readers.
    • Utilize your understanding of our audience to fine-tune content, enhancing its impact and relevance post-publication.
    • Collaborate closely with writers, editors, and content managers in our fast-paced newsroom to refine and elevate published content.
    • Guide and mentor writers, empowering them to grow as contributors to the team.
    • Stay on top of breaking news, ensuring timely updates for our readers.
    • Adhere to a six-day workweek schedule that aligns with the needs of our US audience.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/Journalism, or similar discipline.
    • At least 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or similar roles.
    • Strong command of the English language and an understanding of American culture.
    • Creativity and energy to craft engaging articles that resonate with readers.
    • Basic understanding of SEO principles, including crafting effective headings and subheadings.
    • Leadership skills to inspire, guide, and mentor a team of talented writers.
    • Passion for sports, with eagerness to cover live events, breaking news, and in-depth analyses.
