    Primary Functions:

    • Gather, analyze, and transform large sets of raw data into performance reports with actionable insights using data modeling best practices in bothSAP HANA and Redshift
    • Develop and maintain efficient data modelswith a single source of truth mentality
    • Collaborate with product owners to take a data-driven approach in identifying insights and a value driven approach to data frameworks
    • Validate and performance-tune complex SQL queries
    • Train team members on SQL and modeling best practices

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

    • 7+ Years of Relevant experience
    • Bachelors degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science or engineering
    • Deep expertise is building HANA calculated views in a pure analytics environment (not S4 on HANA)
    • Understanding of the common, landing, transformation, and reporting layers of a calculated view
    • Background understanding Finance and ability to understand the intent of model requests and the business intent
    • Understanding of table functions, CTE, stored procedures, table creation, and triggers
    • Experience with materialized views, and data storage strategies
    • Solution-oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
    • Embraces a people and process first approach to technology projects

    WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

    • Working knowledge of statistical/machine learning tools (e.g., R, TensorFlow) preferred
    • Working knowledge of Big Data solutions such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MapReduce, etc. preferred
    • Experience in designing data models for cloud-based solutions from leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, etc.
    • Experience developing and maintaining CDK code and Practice good software engineering techniques, e.g., Git, scrum, branching, code reviews, spikes
    • Self-motivated and take pride in building great products for key stakeholders
    • Resourceful in finding the data and tools you need to get the job done
    • Not afraid to ask for help when you need it, or help teammates when they need a boost
