Purpose

The Internal ELVSystems Estimator is key in preparing detailed cost estimates for awide range of ELV projects including Building Management Systems(BMS) light control home automation network infrastructure(including Cat6 and fiber optic cabling) WiFi systems and MFD/IDFnetworks. This role requires an extensive understanding of bothtraditional and smart building technologies ensuring that allproject estimations are precise competitive and in line with thelatest industry standards. Thoroughly analyze technical documentsspecifications and blueprints to accurately assess project scopesacross diverse ELV domains.

Work Overview

• Develop and manage detailed cost estimatesfor integrated ELV systems encompassing BMS light control homeautomation wired and wireless networking and data centerinfrastructure.
• Thoroughly analyze technical documentsspecifications and blueprints to accurately assess project scopesacross diverse ELV domains.
  


• Engagein active collaboration with the Presales Engineer sales teams andtechnical departments to align estimates with both clientexpectations and technical requirements.
  


• Conduct site evaluations as necessary toconfirm project details and requirements especially forretrofitting and upgrading existingsystems.
  


• Offer innovative and costeffectivesolutions for advanced BMS smart lighting home automation systemsrobust networking infrastructure and data centersetups.
  


• Keepabreast of the latest technologies and trends in smart buildingsystems network technologies and home automation to enhance thevalue and efficiency of proposedsolutions.
  


• Support bid and proposal processes withaccurate detailed and compelling financial and technicaldocumentation.
  


• Liaisewith vendors and contractors to secure optimal pricing and servicesfor all project components ensuring adherence to budgetaryconstraints.
  

Requirements

Prerequisites

• Proficiencyin specialized estimation software relevant to ELV and networkingprojects as well as MS OfficeSuite.
  
• Deepknowledge of ELV systems networking infrastructure smart buildingtechnologies and industry bestpractices.
  
• Exceptionalanalytical problemsolving and technical skills with a keen eye fordetail andaccuracy.
  
• Effectivecommunication skills and the ability to work collaboratively withteams across differentdepartments.
  
• Strongorganizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projectsand meet tightdeadlines.
  

Qualificationsand EducationRequirements

• Bachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering Telecommunications or a relatedtechnical field with a strong focus on ELV systems and smarttechnologies.
  
• Demonstratedexperience in estimating complex projects involving BMS lightcontrol home automation and networking systems (including Cat6fiber optics WiFi and IDF/MDFnetworks).
  

Prerequisites Knowledge of auxiliary systems (structured cablingsystems, switches, CCTV, AV) Working with vendors to correctlyselect systems (switches, firewalls, audio/visual etc) Must havestrong English communication both written and verbal. Must beconfident and socially adept. Must have a proven track record ofexceeding sales targets. Must be committed to excellence and havean attention for detail. Must have a working capability fortechnical sales, including passing vendor sales certifications.Must be able to handle pressure from time to time and always meetdeadlines. Must have excellent time management and organisationskills.
