    Product Strategy Associate - IN
    The Product Strategy Analyst assists with defining, designing, developing and delivering new products to meet the needs of the marketplace. This job supports management and leadership who oversee a cross-functional product development and strategy team. While working independently with general supervision, this job prepares compliance reports related to product design.

    Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assists research strategy, data collection and analysis for major product consulting engagements.
  • Prepares complex qualitative and quantitative research for product engagements using research knowledge and techniques.
  • Performs complex research analysis using sophisticated models and techniques to derive key product trends, insights and conclusions.
  • Reports on product performance and helps direct product and/or marketing adjustments.
  • Supports the identification and pursuit of product solutions to support marketplace demands.

    About the Position

    The Business Operations group is responsible for streamlining Global Public Product processes and deliverables, using data, dashboards and workflow to facilitate collaboration and communication across the team and with key stakeholders and audiences. We are seeking an Associate who thrives at the intersection of data and insight to support the Global Product Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and analytical background. The position provides project based and ongoing support for various product functions including strategy & development, management, execution, capital markets, treasury and oversight. The ideal candidate would have experience with market data services and programming.

    The position represents an excellent opportunity to:

  • Provide analytics to drive product opportunities
  • Enhance existing product reports and dashboards, in addition to designing and enabling the development of new ones
  • Promote collaboration among Global Public Product team members through platform and workflow management
  • Provide various audiences (Global Product, Distribution, senior management, Nuveen Funds Board) with ongoing concise actionable insights
  • Major Responsibilities

  • Manage processes for the accurate and timely dissemination of product information across various Nuveen groups (i.e. Global Product, Sales/Distribution, Marketing and Portfolio Management)
  • Utilize internal and external databases (Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, FactSet) to support team projects, synthesize data, and perform analysis
  • Analyze data to drive insights and inform recommendations
  • Implement automation opportunities while maintaining and monitoring data integrity
  • Maintain dashboards for a variety of key initiatives
  • Help manage platform for team collaboration and communication with key stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively and build trust with team members across Nuveen
  • Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree with strong academic credentials preferably in finance, statistics, mathematics, or technology related field
  • At least 4+ years experience in analysis and visualization software (Python, Tableau, Excel, VBA, SQL, R)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong and well-developed analytical, problem-solving and quantitative skills
  • Excellent end-to-end generalist problem solving skills and ability to identify issues and analyses
  • Results oriented with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task across multiple projects
  • Previous asset management experience helpful, but not required
