Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Representative, located at our office in Bengaluru. The Business Development Representative will focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth. Responsibilities include market research, lead generation, conducting client presentations, negotiating contracts, and delivering regular sales reports. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align business goals and strategies is also a key part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Client Relationship Management and Negotiation
  • Analytical and Research skills for identifying market opportunities
  • Experience in preparing and delivering engaging presentations
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration abilities
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and understanding of sales cycles
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in SaaS, marketing platforms, or related industries is a plus

Develop a strong understanding of PLUMB5 SaaS platform (CDP, marketing automation, analytics, and personalization).

Key Responsibilities:

 Prospect and qualify B2B leads in mid-market and enterprise segments.

 Engage decision-makers such as CMOs, Marketing Heads, Growth Managers, and Product Teams.

 Conduct product demos and solution walkthroughs (with support teams if required).

 Manage the complete inside sales cycle: lead qualification → demo → proposal → closure.

 Work closely with Marketing on inbound leads, campaigns, and ABM initiatives.

 Maintain accurate sales data using CRM tools

 Track competitor offerings such as HubSpot, MoEngage, WebEngage, CleverTap and position PLUMB5 effectively.

Key Requirements:

 1–2 years of experience in B2B SaaS / IT / Software product sales.

 Experience selling software or cloud-based solutions (not financial products).

 Familiarity with CRM, Marketing Automation, CDP, Digital Marketing, or Analytics tools.

 Strong understanding of consultative selling rather than transactional sales.

 Comfortable with product demos, discovery calls, and solution mapping.

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
