Description

This role will see you working in a close knit agency, delivering features and updates to existing sites as well as working on exciting new projects with a team committed to digital brilliance. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in delivering custom WordPress builds to exacting specifications, and will have the ability to work both independently on projects as well as working within a team.

You will be responsible for the front and back-end elements of the build process, taking exported assets and designs from our team to turn them into carefully crafted website.

As our WordPress Developer, you will:

• Deliver quality, robust code on WordPress / WooCommerce websites within allocated budgets
• Liaise with clients and ensure their satisfaction
• Delivering high quality work on time and budget
• Troubleshoot issues when they occur

Responsibilities:

• Delivering front and back end elements of builds on your own initiative
• Testing and refining code base for strong accessibility and usability
• Ensuring sites are W3C compliant and in line with Google guidelines
• Planning and delivering development work in a timely manner
• Regularly review code (Both yours and colleagues)
• Communicate complex ideas or solutions clearly to clients
• Remain informed and updated with development trends and new practices
• Help update and maintain technical documentation on a project and company level

Core requirements:

• WordPress theme development (custom)
• Strong proficiency with PHP, HTML5, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS3
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
• A minimum of 2 years WordPress experience
• Bug fixing and problem solving
• Experience with developing Wordpress projects using Elementor
• Collaborate with other team members and clients
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS
