QA Engineer - India - Checkmate

Description

In this role, as the QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that software products meet the desired quality standards before they are released to customers or end-users.

Essential Job Functions:

• Plan, design, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to evaluate software functionality and performance.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Verify that software applications meet specified requirements and standards.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
• Continuously improve test automation processes to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
• Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure proper testing.
• Participate in agile or Scrum development processes and provide feedback during sprint planning and review meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• At least 4 to a maximum of 8 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
