AboutThe Employer: A global MNC in the Renewablesector.Reports to: HeadHSELocation ofRole: DayaparJobSummary: The HSE specialist isresponsible for implementing the company s HSE systems on theprojects & operations sites and fostering a positive HSEculture onsites.
RolesandResponsibilities: Financial Be constantly alert for any unsafe conditions acts &observations and act immediately to rectifythem Ensure resources are effectively& efficientlyutilizedCustomer Manage and resolve all safety noncompliances raised by authoritiesand the site teamOperational

• Implement &increase safety awareness among employees and contractors throughcommunications as per corporate HSE directives issued from time totime
• Establish and conduct induction &jobsite orientation for every new employee and administer andrecord their participation in the orientationprogram
• Conduct and document preplanning safetymeetings with each contractor to establish safety procedures priorto the contractor s activity onsite
• Establishand conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with contractorrepresentatives and issue minutes of meetings and interface withsite staff and each contractor safety representative relating tosafety regulations to ensure propercompliance
• Ensure that thirdparty inspection bythe competent authority is carried out for all constructionequipment & machineries before first use and at periodicintervals
• Promote a positive health and safetyculture onsite
• Implement the project healthsafety and environmental plan
• Ensure thecompanys management system risk assessment procedures and SWMS(Safe Work Method Statement) reflect the requirements of currentlegislation and standards
• Establish andmaintain health and safety registers checklists permittowork (PTW)and maintain health and safety files andrecords
• Assess all potential health and safetyhazards and risks and communicate to relevant parties foraction
• Monitor contractors activities againstSWMSs
• Conduct health and safety inspections andwalks on site communicate actions and ensure closeout ofactions
• Record report and investigate safetyincidents and ensure corrective actions aretaken
• Implement safe work practices andprocedures
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safetytraining for personnel at the site
• Assess thecontractor and supplier s ability to comply with the project andhealth and safety requirements
• Compile safetyrecords and statistics for the site and submit a regularreport
• Guide site staff in the implementationand adherence to the Health Safety and EnvironmentPlan

Essentialskills andqualifications:

• Shouldhave a minimum of 6 years of safety experience in India orinternationally working with renewables (wind projects)transmission & distribution and power generationsectors
• Must be BE / B.Tech ElectricalMechanical Civil or Fire & Safety. A diploma in IndustrialSafety (ADIS or PDIS) is highly recommended for thisrole
• Good communicationskills
• Language English Hindi &Gujarati (preferred). Verbal and written both ME or M Tech programsin HSE Eng or Fire and Safety or ESG (desirable) ISO 45001 ISO14001 OHSAS 18001 NEBOSHIDIP
