  • Scrum Master Certification - (Preferred Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Certified Team Coach (CTC), Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Professional Scrum Master (PSM2) or SAFe Agilist (SA) depending on certifying organization) (Required Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM1), PMI Agile Certified Practioner (PMI-ACP) or SAFe Agilist (SA) depending on certifying organization)
  • Is viewed as a local expert on Lean, Agile, and Systems Thinking.
  • Has 2+ years experience implementing and working with other Lean / Agile principles/frameworks.
  • 4-7 years experience working within Scrum teams with 4+ years as a Scrum Master
  • Competency with Google Suite applications and other collaboration tools like Rally
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills, including large group facilitation and training. Is comfortable communicating with key project stakeholders and Senior Management.
  • Good to have:

  • Understands when to use "scrum by the book" and when to adapt scrum based on specific Team needs, limitations or environment.
  • Regularly leads Agile/Scrum training sessions for new hires or other Team Members looking to advance their Scrum knowledge
  • Has a proven track record of successfully growing and maturing Teams he/she has worked with in the past.
  • Mentors other Scrum Masters and Agile leads
  • Works with Teams and/or Team Members in need of extra guidance or assistance
  • Position Responsibilities

    As a Lead Scrum Master, you will be a servant leader for cross-functional, agile development Teams. You will work with the business owner and product team to turn the vision for new products into clear stories and requirements, with developers and QA analysts to produce the software, and with Operations to manage regular deployments of software releases. You will foster an environment of collaboration and communication while reinforcing our culture of transparency, integrity, and accountability. You will jump in and contribute where the Team has needs, whether it be removing impediments, writing documentation, analyzing requirements, supplemental testing, or adding value in your own, unique way. In short, you will be the ultimate servant leader accountable for maximizing the value provided by the team, including team throughput and productivity. Lead Scrum Masters often coach, mentor, and train other team members in Agile practices and methodologies in addition to their daily activities. They are problem solvers and bring "VALUE" to their teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Is an expert with different agile methodologies including Scrum, Scaled Agile and Kanban
  • Demonstrates and understands what specific lean/agile tools/techniques/principles to best apply based on Team needs, environment and constraints.
  • In person and remote team leadership capability
  • Is able to coach and train Team members on the Scrum framework and related artifacts (user stories, story point estimation, etc.) as well as other agile methodologies to help guide teams to more successful outcomes
  • Demonstrates a, well rounded understanding of Lean, Agile and Systems Thinking
  • Displays a "continuous learning" mindset; always seeking to expand lean/agile knowledge and experience
  • Has an in depth understanding of multiple Team Building techniques
  • Has a thorough understanding of Servant Leadership

  • Understands tools and techniques to use to successfully facilitate meetings
  • Provides guidance or assistance to more junior team members with facilitating meeting.
