    Job Description
    • Develops and utilises own strategies for lead generation, new business, new customer relationships and other matters related to growing new business.
    • Develops new business relationships to generate new income for SAGE in order to achieve agreed annual budget revenue and budget margin targets.
    • Identifies customer needs when liaising directly with customers and utilises solution based business development techniques to fully demonstrate the benefits and value of SAGE services, recommending the appropriate solution to the customer
    • Generates leads and referrals for their relevant teams through prospecting, cold contacting and networking activities.
    • Organises and attends onsite client meetings and encourages site visits to SAGE in order to showcase SAGE's cutting-edge solutions, expertise and experience to potential clients.
    • Represents SAGE at industry events and tradeshows to gain new business leads and contacts.
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and analyse industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings in the Electrical, Industrial Automation, and MES sectors.
    • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring favourable terms for the company while exceeding customer expectations.
    • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Electrical, Industrial Automation, and MES technologies to provide informed solutions to clients.
    • Conduct in-depth market research to identify and analyse industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings in the Electrical, Industrial Automation, and MES sectors.
    • Builds customer confidence through trusted communication and a demonstrated understanding of customer needs.
    • Encourages repeat business by maintaining positive relationships with customers.
    • Identifies new opportunities, leveraging all lines of business through an understanding of customer priorities.
    • Travel nationally and internationally to understand customer requirements and new business development.


    Requirements

    • Min 7+ years of experience in Electrical, Industrial Automation and MES
    • Experience in business development or a customer relationship-oriented role with proven experience in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with clients and achieving business development targets.
    • In-depth knowledge of Electrical, Industrial Automation, and MES principles, applications, and market trends.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to business development.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    Requirements

    • Holds an appropriate Engineering Degree or has a minimum of 8-13 years relevant and verifiable experience working in an electrical engineering design, leadership, management, installation and commissioning role.
    • Verifiable experience working in a project environment. Holds or is working towards a Diploma of Project Management
    • Verifiable knowledge of systems engineering principles and practice.
