- Manage the overall accounting function of the company, including financial reporting, auditing financial statements, bookkeeping, taxation, compliance, and providing financial advice.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements like income statement, balance sheet, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Review the company's systems and analyze risk.
- Handle all tax compliance, including filing tax returns and computing tax liabilities.
- Advise on tax planning and ensure tax optimization.
- Interact with external statutory auditors for the annual audit process.
- Oversee cash flow management and bank-related activities.
- Forecast and monitor budgets, profits, and losses.
- Handle compliances with Indian laws.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Provide counsel on areas of business improvement or dealing with insolvency.
- Manage junior colleagues.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and finance functions.
- Experience working in the garment industry is a plus.
- Expertise in Tally/ERP systems, MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards.
- Hands-on experience in corporate and indirect taxation.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
