Design andDevelopment: Collaborate with design engineers to developconnecting rod designs that meet performance durability and costrequirements. Utilize CAD software for modeling and simulation tooptimize designs.

Manufacturing ProcessOptimization:

Oversee the manufacturingprocess of connecting rods including forging machining heattreatment and finishing operations. Implement process improvementsto enhance quality reduce costs and increaseefficiency.

Toolingand EquipmentSelection:

Work with tooling engineers andsuppliers to select or design tools fixtures and equipmentnecessary for connecting rod manufacturing. Ensure that tools andequipment meet production requirements and qualitystandards.

QualityAssurance andControl:

Develop and implement qualitycontrol procedures to ensure that connecting rods meet dimensionalmetallurgical and mechanical specifications. Perform statisticalanalysis and root cause analysis to address quality issues anddrive continuousimprovement.

CostEstimation andBudgeting:

Estimate manufacturing costsfor connecting rods and identify opportunities for cost reductionthrough process optimization material substitution or suppliernegotiations.

Documentation andCompliance:

Maintain accurate documentationof manufacturing processes specifications and quality records.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards regulations andcustomerrequirements.

CrossFunctionalCollaboration:

Work closely withcrossfunctional teams including design engineering productionplanning procurement and quality assurance to coordinate activitiesand achieve projectobjectives.

Qualifications:

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor'sdegree in Mechanical Engineering or a relatedfield.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of experiencein lean manufacturing process preferably in the automotive industrywith focus on ConnectingRod.

TechnicalSkills:

Proficiency in CAD software(e.g. SolidWorks CATIA) for design and simulation. Strongunderstanding of manufacturing processes such as machining and heattreatment with a strong communication skill and manpowerhandling.
