    Job Overview:

    Unacademy is seeking enthusiastic and result-oriented Academic counselor to join its team for offline centers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students in their academic pursuits. Your primary responsibility will be to assist students in navigating their educational journey, offering advice on course selection, academic planning, career pathways, and personal development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide individualized academic counseling sessions to students, addressing their academic concerns, goals, and aspirations.

    2. Assist students in developing personalized academic plans based on their interests, abilities, and career objectives.

    3. Offer guidance on course selection, major exploration, and academic requirements, ensuring students stay on track towards graduation.

    4. Help students navigate academic challenges such as time management, study skills, and test anxiety, providing strategies for success.

    5. Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and support staff to advocate for students' academic needs and ensure a supportive learning environment.

    6. Stay updated on academic policies, curriculum changes, and educational resources to provide accurate information to students.

    7. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive student information and situations.

    8. Monitor students' progress and follow up regularly to assess their academic performance and provide ongoing support and encouragement.

    9. Refer students to appropriate campus resources for additional support, such as tutoring services, mental health counseling, or disability accommodations.

    10. Participate in professional development activities to enhance counseling skills, knowledge

    of higher education trends, and cultural competence.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree

    2. Previous experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services within a higher education setting is desirable.

    3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse student populations.

    4. Knowledge of academic policies, degree requirements, and educational pathways within the institution.

    5. Understanding of student development theories and counseling techniques applicable to academic advising.

    6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.

    7. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to support students from various backgrounds and identities.

    8. Ethical conduct and adherence to professional standards in counseling practice.

    9. Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and institutional priorities
