    Job purpose: THE ROLE IS BASED IN PONDICHERRY

    The CMO Quality Manager is a key member of the Supplier Relationship Team (SRT) and is responsible for managing the relationship with Encore Healthcare, Solistaa Pharmaceuticals and Geltec Pvt Ltd to ensure HALEON's product quality and reputation is protected. This role ensures that all aspects of the products manufactured at Encore Healthcare, Solistaa Pharmaceuticals and Geltec Pvt Ltd Contract Manufacturers comply with the applicable requirements of relevant cGMP regulatory, Global GMP and legislative requirements.

    Key responsibilities:

  • Be able to share expertise and functional knowledge to carry out day to day activities effectively on the relevant manufacturing processes (e. g. Solid forms, gummies and nutraceuticals/Food supplements) and to perform varied work activities with some individual responsibility or autonomy under limited supervision with regards to packaging processes (e.g. Blisters, Pillow packs and Soft gelatin Capsules) and analytical processes (e.g. Physico-chemical and microbiology)
  • CMO Quality Manager has the quality oversight on Encore Healthcare, Solistaa Pharmaceuticals and Geltec Pvt Ltd Contract Manufacturers.
  • Interaction with External Supplier and Key stakeholders, management of critical risks for the company, implementation of systems allowing better control over external manufacturing network, requires minimum operational experience, in order to be able to make best possible decisions.
  • The CMO Quality Manager in partner with the Supplier Relation Manager (SRM), must develop and maintain an effective working relationship with internal stakeholders and all members of the SRT, including other members of CMO including Supply and Procurement Managers, as well as contacts within Regulatory, Technical, Procurement, relevant Category Quality functions.
  • It requires proactive assessment of quality risks, compliance gaps identification and implementation of quality action plans to reduce and eliminate the risks identified at Encore Healthcare, Solistaa Pharmaceuticals and Geltec Pvt Ltd.
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with the key contacts at Encore Healthcare, Solistaa Pharmaceuticals and Geltec Pvt Ltd CM(s). These include key contacts with (but not limited to) Quality, Regulatory, Business Development, Production and Site Management. Clear communication has to be established with Encore Healthcare, Solistaa Pharmaceuticals and Geltec Pvt Ltd to ensure their awareness and accountability on agreed key performance and quality indicators, as directed based on their segmentation outcome.
  • Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Degree in a Science or Pharmacy related discipline Graduation in Chemistry, Microbiology or another related science, business degree is a plus and at least
  • Broad and thorough technical, quality and regulatory knowledge of current pharmaceutical analytical and manufacturing techniques/ processes
  • Master or PhD and at least 5 years' experience AND/OR equivalency in education and experience
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience within Pharmaceutical/Consumer Healthcare industries preferably in the capacity of a senior quality specialist or a Manager.
  • Breadth of knowledge and experience applying cGMPs and other regulations/guidance with an ability to interpret those in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be assertive
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, to complete the investigations including all necessary information to make decisions on batch disposal.
  • Breadth in Quality Systems principles and practical application.
  • Good knowledge and demonstrated application of Quality and Risk Management principles and tools.
  • Demonstrated sound decision-making process; based on facts & data, and application of Risk Management principles.
  • Technical knowledge of multiple dosage forms.
