    SUMMARY

    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead our Analytics team and ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our mission-critical systems. As the engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the overall strategy, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features in a timely manner with great quality

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of engineers specializing in full-stack development and data pipeline development. Define team goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines. Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, promoting best practices in software engineering and data pipeline architecture Identify. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, advocating for the adoption of new technologies that enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, product management, and business intelligence, to drive synergy and deliver integrated solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, to provide visibility into system reliability efforts.
  • Incident Response and On-Call Rotation: Establish and manage an on-call rotation schedule. Ensure that on-call procedures are well-documented and followed. Participate in on-call duties during critical incidents.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, procedures, and incident responses. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and with other stakeholders.
  • Resource Management: Manage team resources effectively, including staffing, workload distribution, and performance assessments. Collaborate with HR to identify talent needs, participate in recruitment efforts, and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a leadership role overseeing full-stack development and data pipeline projects
  • Strong background in software engineering and architecture, with proficiency in React / Javascript and Python
  • Experience building / working with cloud data platforms like Redshift / Snowflake / BigQuery is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring engineering teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Experience in the analytics domain, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and business intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their services
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their impact
  • Experience with on-call rotations and incident response
  • Readiness to adapt to evolving technologies and best practices
