    Role Description

    As a Freight Forwarding Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of accounts within the freight forwarding industry. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their logistical needs are met and exceeded. This role requires a deep understanding of freight forwarding operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients to drive business growth and retention.

    Responsibilities

    1. Build & manage a portfolio of accounts, with a specific focus on Stream Ship Lines, NVOCC operations, and OTI activities.
    2. Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within existing accounts, working closely with internal teams to deliver value-added solutions.
    3. Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth execution of freight forwarding services.
    4. Proactively address client inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
    5. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market developments related to Stream Ship Lines, NVOCC operations, and OTI activities, providing insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
    6. Arrange transportation and logistics services for import and export shipments, including air, sea, road, and rail freight.
    7. Select appropriate ocean carriers and engage in negotiations to secure favorable rates and terms, while also fostering enduring relationships for the long term.

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of managing client accounts and driving business growth.
    3. Strong understanding of international trade regulations, INCO terms, customs clearance processes, and documentation requirements specific to Stream Ship Lines, NVOCC, and OTI operations.
    4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
    5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
    6. Proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and delivering exceptional customer service.
    7. Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
