    Description

    Service Engineer Position Overview

    The Service Engineer will provide best-in-class and timely services to customers, ensuring a seamless experience with passionate customer orientation. This role is responsible for providing calibration and annual maintenance contract services for ZwickRoell products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform regular maintenance visits for Annual Maintenance Contract orders.
    • Calibrate ZwickRoell machines and instruments at customer sites.
    • Prepare calibration certificates and submit them to customers on time, adhering to industry standards.
    • Submit service reports and checklists to the service planner in a timely manner for invoicing purposes.
    • Analyze faults and failures in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
    • Determine the nature and scope of faults or damage, advising customers on proper follow-up procedures for procuring spare parts or arranging warranty replacements.
    • Collaborate with Service Sales Executives to ensure timely submission of offers for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and calibration proposals for renewal.
    • Advise customers regularly on spares and consumables for smooth machine operations.
    • Follow up with Service Sales Executives for timely submission of spares, consumables, and accessory proposals.
    • Plan customer visits in consultation with service planners.
    • Utilize the CRM system to actively manage all service jobs.
    • Continuously develop and maintain knowledge and expertise of the ZwickRoell Product Portfolio and Applications to enhance confidence and service effectiveness.
    • Submit installation and calibration checklists to service planners.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automation, or Instrumentation Engineering.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in servicing materials testing machines and instruments.
    • Working experience in measurement and analytical instruments or materials testing is advantageous.
    • Basic knowledge of materials testing and properties.
    • Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
    • Experience in customer support activities for materials testing machines.
    • Proficiency in PC software and Microsoft Office programs.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Goal-oriented and flexible approach to work.
    • Able to work under pressure.
    • Willing to travel for customer complaints.
    • Open to continuous re-training.
    • Valid driving license.
    • Proficiency in English and regional language.
    • German language proficiency is advantageous.
    • 70% travel requirement.
