    Team Overview

    The Payroll Accountant reporting to the Senior Manager Global Payroll or Payroll Supervisor is responsible for reconciling payroll and benefits financial transactions, performing internal controls, and maintaining robust documentation.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform payroll and benefits related month-end activities including account reconciliations, journal entries, and internal controls.
    • Partner with Accounting & Finance team on projects, financial audits, and financial reporting.
    • Research and resolve out of balance conditions with internal teams and third parties including ADP, TMF Global payroll service, and Workday.
    • As needed, meet with the Company's internal and external auditors on Payroll or Benefits internal controls.
    • Serve as the single threaded owner for 401(K) match calculations.
    • Participate on test teams for new payroll or benefits system functionality.
    • Compile data as required for senior leadership analysis.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Formalized Accounting education with extensive knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards;
    • Three or more years of Accounting experience in Global Payroll environment;
    • Prior Benefits experience and awareness of Benefits operations;
    • Intermediate Excel skills
    • Must be comfortable working in an office environment and reporting to a remote manager and global team.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Three or more years of Workday Payroll and/or Oracle experience
    • Internal audit experience with a United States publicly traded company
    • Exceptional writing skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • Prior global payroll experience in a publicly traded company with +2,000 employees
    • Experience with accounting for Restricted Stock Units as a compensation component
