Overview
:

• We are seeking a talented and 7+ years of experienced Database Administrator to join our growing Reference Data Technology Team.

You will play a key role in working with reference data, optimizing database performance, and collaborating with System DBAs to ensure the health and security of our databases. This position requires strong SQL Server and Oracle skills, along with a solid understanding of database design principles for both cloud and on premise environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, modeling, develop, and implement database solutions for reference data management.

Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple databases to support reference data enhancements and new functionalities.


Interface with System DBAs:
o

Collaborate with system DBAs to help implement database changes, upgrades, and migrations.o

Communicate database requirements and performance metrics to system DBAs for infrastructureoptimization.o

Assist system DBAs in troubleshooting database issues and performance bottlenecks

SQL Tuning:
o

Analyze and optimize SQL queries to improve database performance and efficiency.o

Work with development teams to fine-tune database design and indexing strategies.o

Provide guidance on SQL optimization techniques to improve overall application performance

Cloud and On-Premise Awareness:
o

Stay informed about cloud and on-premise database design principles and best practices.o

Understand the implications of database design decisions on cloud and on-premiseo

deployment options.o

Provide input on database architecture decisions to ensure compatibility with both cloud ando

on-premise environments.

Qualifications·Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).·Proven experience as a Database Developer with strong SQL Server and Oracle skills (minimum 3+ years).·Familiarity with SQL tuning techniques and query optimization.·Understanding of cloud and on-premise database design concepts (e.g., normalization, indexing).·Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes,·Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.·Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) preferred.·Knowledge of Python a plus.·Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical andnon-technical audiences.·Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.·Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
