    DirectSenior Procurement Buyer

    As a Direct Senior Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will be responsiblefor managing and executing the organization's procurement and purchasingactivities at a strategic level.

    This position plays a pivotal part in ensuringefficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignmentwithin the procurement function.

    You will oversee complex procurement operationsand work with a team of procurementprofessionals, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurementobjectives.

    You will report directly to our Procurement Manager and you'll work out of ourFulgaon, Pune location on an On-site work schedule.

    In this role, you will impact the organization by optimizing procurementpractices, enhancing profitability, and securing a reliable and agile supplychain, making your expertise an indispensable asset to our organization'ssuccess.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that alignswith the organization's goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, andsupplier diversity.
    • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, andnegotiate terms to secure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
    • Monitor and control procurement costs, seek cost-saving opportunities,negotiate favorable terms, and optimize resource allocation.
    • Foster and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and otherstakeholders to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain, addressingconcerns and resolving issues.
    • Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations,compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organizedrecords.
    • Establish and enforce quality control standards in procurementprocesses, conducting regular audits and performance assessments.
    • Leverage technology solutions, such asprocurement software and analytics, to enhance procurement processes,monitoring, and reporting.
    • Support the efficient operation of the purchasing team, developingrelationships with suppliers, ensuring the material according to the productionplan at the best price and on time.
    • Communicate with suppliers, actively seeking opportunities to streamlineand strengthen these crucial contacts.
    • Procure Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and off-the-shelfcomponents from both local and overseas suppliers.
    • Lead digitization of Procurement procedures using availabletechnologies, e.g. e-Auction, Auto PO, OTTRD reports, etc.
    • Responsible for maintenance of purchase orders, monthly forecasting forsuppliers, maintenance of key planning parameters, and reconciliation ofinvoice and purchase order issues.
    • Manage supplier performance to ensure the site is working with the rightstrategic suppliers to support short and long-term objectives.
    • Support timely placement of purchase orders and change orders,highlighting supply risks and ensuring early supplier involvement to mitigate those risks.
    • Drive cost-cut opportunities and lead time reduction programs with keysuppliers.
    • Mitigate supply risks with early supplier involvement with key and critical suppliers to achievecustomer OTTR and LT targets.
    • Report supply status regularly to the ISC Team, Sourcing manager, andinternal customers to ensure information for business updates is available asrequired.
    • Consult with site CMs and GCMs for lower cost and suggest cost-cutopportunities, ensuring minimum E & O liabilities from suppliers.
    • Lead and support projects related to supplier optimization, lead time,working capital improvement, and supplier capacity management.
    • Support procurement activities for NPI and New Line Transition projectsas per the need of the organization.
    • Execute SAP Part Creation/Part extension requests/Vendor Creation/VendorExtension requests as per the requirement.
    • Inventory reduction projects, driving improvement projects related tosupplier lead times, payment terms, and on-time delivery.
    • Procure material according to ordering policies designed to minimizeinventory costs and reduce inactive, obsolete, and surplus inventory.
    • Conduct weekly supply review meetings with key suppliers to driveon-time delivery, lead time, and mitigate supply risks.
    • Manage P2P cycle and ensure timely supplier payments.
    • Visit suppliers as necessary and appropriate within the scope of jobresponsibilities.

    YOU MUST HAVE


    • Extensive experience in procurement with 10-12 years
    • Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement operations
    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
    • In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, andsupplier relationship management.
