    Position Overview :


    As a DevOps Engineer specializing in Virtualization Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our virtualization infrastructure environment.

    You will leverage your expertise in VMware and VDI technologies to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our virtualized systems.

    Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools such as OpsRamp, SQL Sentry, and vROps to optimize and monitor our infrastructure.


    Key Responsibilities :

    • Design, deploy, and manage virtualization infrastructure using VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
    • Configure and optimize Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions, such as VMware Horizon, to provide efficient and reliable desktop virtualization services.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement best practices for virtualization infrastructure.
    • Implement automation and orchestration workflows using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
    • Utilize monitoring and analytics tools such as OpsRamp, SQL Sentry, and vRealize Operations (vROps) to monitor performance, identify issues, and optimize resource utilization.
    • Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configuration management policies for virtualization infrastructure.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and participate in knowledge sharing and training initiatives.
    • Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in virtualization, DevOps, and web services, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure.

    Required Skills and Qualifications :

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 57 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Systems Engineer, with a focus on virtualization infrastructure.
    • Strong proficiency in VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and VMware Horizon.
    • Experience standing up and configuring monitoring solutions such as OpsRamp, SQL Sentry, and vRealize Operations (vROps).
    • Knowledge of web services and DevOps practices, with experience implementing automation and orchestration workflows.
    • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts as they relate to virtualization infrastructure.
    • Excellent problemsolving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV (Data Center Virtualization) or VCP-DTM (Desktop and Mobility).
    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Jira.)
