• Ensure accurate costing of the products, maintenance of cost records and implement uniform management accounting practices across the group
• Ensure reliable and timely MIS for Board and top management
• Prepare a budget for improvement in budget processes
• Detailed scrutiny of fixed cost and suggest saving possibilities and better controlling methods
• Work as member of CFT for cost reduction, improvements at plant
• Coordinate and control working capital - Inventory within norms
• Secure budgetary control and analysis of actual expenses vs budget.
• Automate and simplify MIS reports and business processes across group with help of IT
• Prepare, review and ensure adherence to department policies and SOPs (as applicable)
• Monitor capex projects from initiation till completion from finance perspective and ensure fixed asset accounting
• Ensure filing of all relevant government returns with government authorities
• Coordinate with auditors to finalise accounts and cost audit report
• Ensure timely completion of periodic closing (monthly | quarterly | yearly) activities
• Maintain and update fixed asset register
• Monitor ongoing capex - budgetary control, analysis of expenses, passing grouping JVs, capitalisation on commissioning
• Prepare and analyse various periodic project MIS reports
• Ensure physical verification of asset and eAM and FA synchronisation
• Support system improvement and process automation for better monitoring of fixed asset register
• Review and analyse the product cost in multiple dimensions
• Prepare and improve variable cost budgeting through system
• Prepare and compile relevant data for annual report
• Prepare, compile and consolidate annual budget
• Monitor and ensure use of Hyperion planning and other BI tools
• Compile investment proposals for submission to the investment committee
• Control working capital against the approved norms
