    Head of HSEQ, FLSmidth Cement

    Responsible for the development of strategies, standards, and policies for health, safety and environmental aspects to offer the highest quality on a global basis in cooperation with FLSmidth Cement Management Team.

    Your responsibilities


    • Provide strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of the safety, health and environment function for FLSmidth Cement, including short and long term road maps for the area

    • Defines, develops and lead the implementation of standards, policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments


    • Ensure accidents and environmental incidents are investigated and liaising with employees, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence

    • Ensure and overall responsible for training and audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety

    • Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization.

    • Promotes a culture of personal and team HSE & Travel security, including others who may be affected by the company's operational activities

    • Focus on how data and technology can be applied into a HSEQ context improving the standards

    • Focus on simplify and improving fundamental internal procedure, processes without compromising the HSEQ standards

    • Can evaluate capability and competence in own HSE community to ensure the region can deliver the expected support and advise to the organization.

    • Demonstrate strong visible leadership and create follow ship in own HSE Community and across the leadership level in the region

    • Able to stay focused on achieving results, even in the face of significant obstacles and changes in the organization

    What you bring


    • Technical/engineering background as HSEQ manager, including people leadership experience in a global context

    • Experience from similar position in bigger international companies

    • Min years of experience within HSEQ

    • Leadership education/training – preferable worked as leader for an HSEQ team

    • Can show documented results of performance

    • Insight and understanding for local and international legislation

    • Experience with international standards as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or OHSAS 18001

    • Lead auditor, or similar auditor experiences


    • Lean Six Sigma qualification and experience

    • High level of communication skills (spoken, reports, presentations)

    • Process driven with result as mindset
