    Objectives of the Position

    Technical Building Facilities Lead for projects comprising of HVAC systems, Safety Systems, Building services in Technical building, fire fighting systems, sprinkler systems etc.

    Main Tasks

    Mainly Supports the cross continental projects across Europe and North American region in the Position of Technical Building facilities Lead

    • In coordination with Engineering partner, developing of Design for Buildings such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning: air distribution and chilled/hot water piping, direct expansion, and any other air conditioning system), Plumbing (potable water, condensate water, sewage and drainage, compressed air and fluids piping), Fire Fighting (active water base, clean agent and other systems) and Elevator/Lift and mobile escalator (scope and design coordination), BMS (Building Management System) systems, as applicable to the assigned projects.
    • Supporting the project team with cost estimations, budgetary proposal for inhouse FEED and Detail Engineering activities. Nature of Projects could be Green Field type, Brown field type, Maintenance projects, Upgradation project, debottlenecking projects, capacity enhancement projects, Laboratory facilities etc.
    • Preparation of technical specifications for the supply / construction / commissioning of the relevant equipment and systems for technical building facilities.
    • Preparation of FIP (FEED Input Package) for Technical Building Facilities as necessary for awarding contract to Engineering Partner for a particular Project.
    • Timely delivery of projects as per Global Division of Work Guidelines and BASF Global Workflow practices.
    • Guarantee the quality of the deliverables generated and their compliance with the contractual requirements of the project contracts satisfying the assigned budget and time schedule.
    • Coordination with Client, Architectural team and other MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) team members within the building organization for development of finalize design as well as coordinated review of drawings / designs / 3D models.
    • Coordination / Liaise with EP/ vendors / site contractors for resolving technical queries, approve contractor deliverables, Material selection / approvals.
    • Coordination with vendors to receive necessary information's in relevant stages of project.
    • Development and improvement of BASF internal processes for engineering and construction practices.

    Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

    Education: BE Mechanical engineering with specialization in HVAC engineering.

    Working Experience: 5 to 8 years' work experience in the field of HVAC engineering and safety systems

    Technical & Professional Knowledge:

    Core skills:

    • He / She should possess a Degree in Mechanical (B.E. Mechanical or equivalent)
    • Have minimum 5 years of proven working experience as an HVAC Design Engineer / Lead Engineer. Specialist preferably involved in Design of Industrial Buildings such as Factories, Control Rooms, Substations, Warehouses, Operator Shelter (Safe Haven), Gate House, Fire Station, Canteen, Administration Blocks, Laboratories etc.
    • Knowledge of building codes and products, construction details and relevant Local / Indian Standards / International Standards
    • Exposure to design software like BIM 360 platforms, Revit, AutoCAD. Navisworks / MicroStation.
    • Expertise / Knowledge of Carrier HAP Software will be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of Material Take-off and Bill of Quantities relevant to TBF function.
    • Knowledge of 3D model review management and clash checks / resolutions
    • Experience in working with EP/EPC/Turnkey at various stages of project life cycle such as Study phase, FEED, Detail Engineering, Proposals etc.
    • Good Teamwork skills, Good Communication, and interdisciplinary engineering management skills

    Job-related preferred skills:

    • Heat load calculation, Ventilation calculations, Duct and pipe sizing, Battery room design, Laboratory HVAC system design, Basic Knoweledge of Automation / controls and BMS. Basic Knowledge of safetys systems such as breathing air system, Drinking water systems, Safety Showers, Fire Fighting system etc.

    Travel:

    • Frequent tarvel within India and abroad.
