    What do we offer:

    FCDO team manages the implementation of best in class data quality measurement programs across globe in retail consumer bank. The critical areas we support:

    • Data Governance : Standardization of data definitions and ensuring consistency in usage as per definitions across systems/products/regions.
    • Meta Data Management : Leveraging data lineage, data discovery initiatives and creation of enterprise level meta data for all retail consumer products
    • Data Ownership : Identifying trusted data sources, data owners and consumers across process and products
    • Issue Management : Identifying defects and investigating root causes for different issues. Following up with stakeholders and creation of plan for resolution as per SLA
    • Audit Support : Identifying cases on control gaps, policy breaches and providing data evidence for audit completion
    • Data Certification : Developing procedures on data certification and certifying as per fit for purpose criteria

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • The Data Steward Analyst role is responsible for defining, documenting, maintaining, communicating and publishing metadata, performing and maintaining data lineage and supporting the use of metadata for all data consumers.
    • Work with business partners to Identify & propose data elements to be designated as Critical Data Element (CDEs).
    • Identify Trusted Source (i.e. system of origin, system of record and authoritative provisioning point) for each approved CDE in their business process.
    • Capture metadata for CDEs within the business process and ensure that it is stored in accordance to the CDO's Metadata Management Process.
    • Review business glossary with the Process Owner and publish it to enterprise Metadata Repository.
    • Assist metadata for physical & logical data elements
    • Be actively involved in various initiatives including but not limited to overlaying data on process maps, appropriateness of Trusted Source assignment for CDEs in scope, data quality, data lineage, metadata management and maintenance of data dictionaries.
    • Lead efforts to implement policies, procedures and system enhancements to fill current and future Data Governance Gaps
    • Provide all the support to Data Governance/Data Stewards including Partner / stakeholder management, expectations settings with partners, prioritization of work to team members, and act as Data and functional SME.
    • Develop and maintain project management trackers and provide regular updates to managers, senior leadership team and stakeholders.
    • Ensuring required controls, checks, governance, process documentation is always up-to date and maintained regularly

    Expertise Required:

    Analytical Skills

    • Data analysis and visualization
    • Proficient in formulating analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data
    • Generate actionable Business Insights

    Tools and Platforms

    • Data Lineage Tools , Metadata Management Tools (.i.e. Collibra or Solidatus etc..)
    • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
    • Understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse like Bigdata, Teradata
    • Exposure to SAS, Python, SQL/data retrieving tools

    Domain Skills

    Good understanding of

    • Data definitions and data discovery
    • Data quality framework
    • Data Governance including identification of critical data elements, measuring and monitoring of CDE's
    • Process improvement experience pertains to compliance and data quality initiatives
    • Hands on experience on KPI's design, issue resolution and remediation activities
    • Identification of control gaps and providing recommendations as per data strategy
    • Measuring effectiveness of different DQ roll out programs

    (Preferred) - Knowledge of Finance Regulations, Understanding or Retail Business

    Soft Skills

    • Ability to identify, clearly articulate and solve complex business problems and present them to the management in a structured and simpler form
    • Should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
    • Good process/project management skills
    • Ability to work well across multiple functional areas
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

    Educational and Experience:

    • MBA / Master degree in Economics / Statistics / Mathematics / Information Technology / Computer Applications / Engineering from a premier institute. BTech / B.E in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications
    • (Preferred) Post Graduate in – Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Management Science and related fields
    • 5 to 8 years of hands on experience in delivering data quality solutions, with at least 2 year's experience in Banking Industry
